We Are Anchor Danly
For over 100 years, Anchor Danly has offered innovative, reliable solutions and end-to-end solutions for fabrication, custom- or catalogue die sets, steel plate and structural products. Anchor Danly manufactures large custom welded fabrications, custom-ground steel plate, tooling, machine bases for automation integrators, die sets and die set components for metal stampers across North America.

2022
Anchor Danly marks 100 years in business
2015-2019
AWC Manufacturing Inc was acquired in 2015 by Connell Limited Partnership, and added it to the Anchor Danly family. In 2018, Hidden Harbour Capital Partners acquired controlling interest in Anchor Danly and in 2019, AWC was separated from Anchor Danly.
2012
In 2012, the Anchor Danly Components Group was sold to Misumi, although Anchor Danly continues to distribute components.
2005
Acquisition of Anchor Lamina by Connell Limited Partnership, which then merged it with Danly IEM to form Anchor Danly.
1988
Anchor Machine bought Lamina Inc.
1981
Danly Machines and Danly Die Set was acquired by the Ogden Corporation. The Odgen Corporation was a holding company situated in Delaware, whose holdings also included a shipyard, public utilities, manufacturing, Suffolk Downs Race Track, Luria Brothers scrap metal processing and Wilson Foods.
1960
Anchor Machine & Manufacturing Inc., a die set manufacturer, was founded in Mississauga, ON. It was subsequently purchased in 1975 by Clare Winterbottom, Roger Brisebois & Enio Rigo, all formerly of Wheatley Mfg.
1956
Anchor Danly Fabrications was founded to provide a full range of build-to-print steel plate and fabrications.
1955
Danly Machine Specialties Inc. purchased a former washing machine plant from Thor Corporation in a deal worth $1.6 million.
1951
Danly continued to showcase its innovation, by demonstrating a hydraulically operated piercing machine it created for the De Haviland Engine Company that reduced a 30-hour job to five minutes without creating the āshockā that had previously resulted from piercing steel.
1930
Danly began fabricating customer-specific die sets from thermally stress-relieved steel plates. This innovation replaced traditional die casting.
1927
Philo H. Danly filed a patent for drawing templates for die sets ā for use by machine draftsmen in expediting their work in making working drawings of complementary die and punch parts used in plate metal manufactures.ā
1922
In 1922, Robert C. Danly and his son, Philo Danly founded Danly Machines in Cicero, Il.
